CARING FOR YOUR FLOWERS

Cut Flowers
Carefully remove wrappings, cut stems at an angle about an inch from the end. Place flower stems in deep cold water for an hour. Add flower food to vase of water before arranging. Flowers will stay fresh longer if kept away from direct sunlight or draughts.

  Roses
If their heads hang, re-cut the stems and place immediately in an inch of boiling water for a minute, then plunge in deep cold water, and leave for 2 hours.

Hand Tied Bouquet
The bouquet may be in water so carefully remove the wrappings. This bouquet is arranged by the florist and tied ready to go into a vase. Fill a vase with tepid water, add cut flower food, cut stems to the required length for your vase. Place the bouquet (still tied) into your vase.

  Arrangements & Baskets
Top up your arrangements/basket with water every day. The container or basket should be placed on a mat as it may leak.
Plants and Planted Bowls
Please keep your plant/planted bowl away from direct heat and draughts.
Foliage plants should be watered sparingly, flowering plants need more water. Be careful not to over water your planted bowl. The soil should be dry to touch before re-watering.
